Department:  Acute Care and Emergency

Status:  Full Time 72 hours ppp

Our Acute Care Department gives employees to the opportunity to learn and develop skills while caring for a multitude of patient types.  We provide care for all patient ages, pediatric through geriatric.  if you are looking for a great patient mix, the Acute Care Unit is where you will find it.  Daily patient assignments give you the benefit of caring for the people with various illnesses, surgical needs,and medical needs and also provides an opportunity to utilize multiple procedural skills.

The Emergency Department is a fast paced-dynamic department with a highly experienced team.  The staff consist of physicians, registered nurses, technicians and health unit coordinators who are close knit and work exceptionally well together. 

The department has over 10,000 visits a year and holds Time Sensitive Emergency designations in Trauma, Stroke and STEMI through the State of Idaho. Bonner General also participates in the tele-stroke program through Sacred Heart. 
 

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is looking for a challenging, yet exciting career, caring for a broad span of illness and injury.  We are looking to add quick thinking, technically savvy people who can handle a rapid environment fueled by a steady drip of adrenaline and a periodic bolus of the unexpected.

 

Education:  Graduate of accredited nursing program

Licensure/Certification: Current State of Idaho RN license; current BLS certification (AHA);  preferred certifications: ACLS and PALS or obtained within 6 months of hire
